Introduction

Applications are invited from outstanding students of Gilgit-Baltistan who intend to pursue undergraduate studies (four/five years BS Programs) from HEC-recognized public sector Universities/Degree Awarding Institutions (DAIs). The Scholarships are being offered for the academic year 2023-24 in all areas of study/disciplines under the project titled, "Undergraduate Scholarship Program for the students of Gilgit-Baltistan in Top Pakistani Universities/Institutions (Batch-III)".

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must have domicile/local certificate of Gilgit-Baltistan.

• Applicants must have completed their intermediate (HSSC)/Equivalent. 

• The applicants who are already availing any other scholarship from any other organization are NOT eligible to apply. 

•  Applicants age greater than 22 years as on closing date of application submission are not eligible.

• The candidates will have to fulfil the HEC and University criteria for admission in BS programs.

 Benefits Of HEC Undergraduate Scholarship for Gilgit -Baltistan:

• Full Tuition Fee, Hostel fee or Mess fee and other charges - maximum Rs. 240,000 per year.

• Stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month. 

•  Books and traveling allowances of Rs. 30,000 per annum.

 Important notes or points for HEC Undergraduate Scholarship for Gilgit -Baltistan:

• The candidates who are willing to get the scholarship will be shortlisted based on their scores in Aptitude Test (to be conducted by Education Testing Council, HEC) and academic credentials.

• Candidates will need at least 50% marks in the ETC test to select for the scholarship. 

• The students who are already enrolled in any BS Program in public sector universities/institutions prior to the advertisement (maximum one academic year/session) may also apply.

• The scholarships will be awarded on purely merit-based and irrespective of gender, caste, race, and religion. 

• The applicants fron any Public Sector University/Institution of Pakistan can apply. If any type of expenditure over and above the cost given in Project PC-1 will be borne by the student himself/herself.

• Test Result will be valid for one year after one year test result will expire from the announcement of Test Result date. 

•  HEC can cancel the scholarship process at any stage without assigning any reason.

• It is mandatory for the applicants to bring original applicant copy of paid fee challan on test day along with your Original CNIC/Original Passport, otherwise candidate will not be allowed to sit in the exam.

• Applicants are advised to check their emails & HEC official website on regular basis for any updates and required to apply well before the closing date to get assistance in case of any inconvenience.
