Pakistan Marine Academy is the country biggest public institute which provides pre and post-sea professional training to seafarers. MA is the only place where every year,150 professional competent young seafarers pass out in the fields of Nautical Sciences and Maritime Engineering for the local and international maritime industry. Now this time the Pakistan Marine Academy offering 37 Fully paid scholarship and 33 need based scholarship which are sponsored by Ministry of Maritime Affairs and 4 need based scholarship which is sponsored by Global Radiance Group of Companies to all the Pakistan students. Eligibility Criteria:

• Unmarried male citizen of Pakistan.
• Age should not be less than 20 years as on 31 December 2023.
• There will be One Year Age Relaxation for FATA/Gilgit Baltistan/AJK/ Balochistan not more than 21 years as on 31 December 2023.

 Qualification Requirements:

• The candidates must have passed intermediate  in  Pre Engineering or O/A Level in (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) having at least 55% marks.
• The Candidates of O/A Level must submit their Equivalence Certificate.
• Intermediate and  A Level Part-II appearing candidates with at least 60% marks in Part-I can also apply. But  they have to provide Hope Certificate from the head of respective college/ institute.
• If a candidate fails to attain 55% marks in intermediate  after providing Hope Certificate, he will be disqualified at any stage of selection process or discharged during training.

How to Apply for Pakistan Marine Academy Admission:

• The prospectus & application form can be Downloaded from PMA  official website which link is given below. The same is also Available at PMA Admission Office.
• Submit application form through Courier Services along with pay order/ bank draft of Rs. 3,000/- in Favour of Pakistan Marine Academy, Karachi, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), PMA Branch Code-0239 (PO/DD from any bank is accepted).
• If the candidates   applying under Self Finance Scheme (SFS) not on scholarship quota  so they should submit additional pay order/ bank draft of Rs.300,000/- along with the application form.
•  If the candidate selected on open-merit or do not meet PMA eligibility criteria their SFS fee will be refunded in this case.

Steps for selection process:

• Entrance Test will be conducted at different cities of Pakistan which are Abbottabad, Gwadar Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Muzaffarabad (AJK), Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sukkur through hired Testing Agencies.
• Minimum 50% marks are required to qualify entrance test.
• The candidates who pass all test so their medical examination of shortlisted candidates will be conducted at designated Army/ Navy Hospitals.
• The final selection will be done in order of merit which include intermediate Marks, Entry Test Marks, Medical, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & final interview. PET and interview will be conducted after Medical Examination.
• Final Interview and PET dates and other important announcement will be share  on PMA website and same will be communicated to candidates.

Scholarships :

Training And Degree Awarded:

• The candidates who select will have 02 Years residential training at PMA.
• After completion of training Associate Degree in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering will be awarded by NED University of Engineering &Technology, Karachi.
• A Certificates of International Maritime Organization (IMO) recognized Pre-Sea Mandatory Courses.

Ineligibility for Pakistan Marine Academy Admission:

• Submitting tampered academic certificates/ mark- sheets/documents.
• Concealment of information in the application form or submitting incomplete application or providing false information.
• The candidates who withdrawn from any academy/ training institution including that of Armed Forces on disciplinary grounds.
• The candidates who are Dismissed/ Removed/ Debarred/ Resigned from Government Service including Armed Forces will not be eligible.
• The candidates who are also convicted by a court of law for offence involving moral turpitude or any other offence will also not be eligible.
• Non-Combination of Subjects and Diploma holder (DAE) are not eligible.
• The candidates declared Medically unfit by an Armed Forces hospital/ Appeal Medical Board.
• Candidates Declared COLOUR BLIND.
